Premium Surfboard Finish Resin Resin Formula is used by commonly throughout the surfboard industry.
- Ideal for those classic gloss finishes on Mal's, Retro's etc.

- Filler resin is a waxed, easily sanded polyester resin designed to be used in the surfboard glassing process
- The resin is formulated with a blue tint to enhance the whiteness of the board. Non blue tint resin will have a slight yellow tint and will brown off faster
Shapers SunBake UV Solar Additive is a curing agent that uses for UV catalysing (hardening) of the resin.
Please ensure when repairing or laminating a surfboard you keep the resin AWAY FROM DIRECT SUN LIGHT as this will cause rapid hardening of resin.
NOTES FOR USE:
Please beware resin will cure within minutes when exposed to sunlight.
Example of curing times by sunlight:
Bright Sun: Gel 15 Seconds / Full cure 5 minutes.
Partial Sun: Gel 30 Seconds / Full cure 6-8 minutes. Bright Sun: Gel 45-60 Seconds / Full cure 10 minutes. -
Work only indoor or isolated area out of sunlight. - Always test small sample of resin in sun before use. - If repair depth is over 1/4”, you will need to add MEKP to the resin at 1% to catalyse. MEKP Catalyst (Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide). Curing time with MEKP for a depth of 1/4” should curve within 15-30 minutes.
