Our Ultimate Glassing Material Kit has been carefully assembled to provide all the essential materials required for laminating, hot coating, and setting up your preferred fin system. This kit delivers quality, convenience, and value.
Kit Includes:

1 x 4L Laminating Resin – High-quality polyester laminating resin for strong, clean glass jobs.
- Fibreglass - To laminate 2 x layers on the deck and 1 layer on the bottom. Amount is based of blank size.

125ml Wax in Styrene – For creating filler (hot) coats prior to sanding.

100ml MEKP Catalyst – For controlled resin curing (1–3% ratio, 2% recommended).

5L Converter Sunbake UV Powder - For optional use as UV curing agent.

1 x Small Deck Plug

KIT NOTES
Wax & Styrene
Used with surfboard laminating resin to create a Filler Resin Coat (final coat prior to sanding).
A ratio of 2.5% Wax & Styrene to Laminating Resin is required.
Sunbake UV Additive
Shapers Sunbake UV Solar Additive is an optional curing agent designed for use with laminating or filler resin. It allows for UV catalysing (hardening) of the resin without requiring MEKP catalyst.
Specifically formulated to produce stronger, brighter surfboard laminates without traditional curing time constraints.
⚠ Important:
Always keep resin away from direct sunlight during repairs or laminating, as exposure will cause rapid hardening.
Notes for Use

Resin will cure within minutes when exposed to sunlight.

Work only indoors or in an isolated area out of direct sunlight.

Always test a small sample of resin in sunlight before use.
Example UV Curing Times:

Bright Sun: Gel ~15 seconds / Full cure ~5 minutes

Partial Sun: Gel ~30 seconds / Full cure 6–8 minutes

Light Sun: Gel 45–60 seconds / Full cure ~10 minutes
If repair depth exceeds 1/4”, add 1% MEKP Catalyst (Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide) to ensure proper curing.
At 1% MEKP, a 1/4” depth repair should cure within approximately 15–30 minutes.
