Shapers Gauze is premium grade and highly effective in rapidly removing surfboard foam (polystyrene and polyurethane). The hook&loop backing allows quick removal and attachment of different grits through the Shaping process along with all the benefits offered by our wide range of blocks.
Shapers hook&loop compatible Gauze are custom made using Aluminum Oxide Abrasive Gauze. The Aluminum Oxide is the most desired form of abrasive world wide, due to its ability to self-clean, longevity of life and hardness. Harder than other commonly used materials, aluminum oxide grit powder penetrates and cuts even the hardest metals and sintered carbide (making it an amazing cutting agent on material such as surfboard foam PU, EPS, XPS).

Shapers blocks
I love the Shapers blocks… I use the firm blue pad with a 40 grit for squaring up the outline , and also to do basic balancing on a planed , and sureformed bottom. The Medium light blue pad for flexing into curves to smooth concaves and for creating contours. Lastly , the Soft pad with fine mesh 220 for cleaning lines , and smoothing to a silky finish for less absorption of resin when laminated.
